to widen the search for the dog. the pitbull had gotten loose from its owner to chase after some ducks according to university of nevada police. the pitbull fell through the ice ,and the owner chased after falling through the ice himself. the owner managed to pull himself out and was treated at the lake. the dog unfortunately did not make it and was recovered by r-f-d. ### chip kelly is the 20th head coach for the 49ers franchise. c-e-o jed york announced the move on twitter and so did the team. kelly replaces jim tomsula who fired after one season. kelly himself was fired by the eagles after three seasons. he won 26 games during that span.### a man is in italian custody for the murder of ashley olsen. the suspect is a 27- year-old man from senegal who olsen brought home from a nearby bar. the prosecutor in florence says there is very serious evidence of his guilt. marci gonzalez has the latest in the case.

"leonardo dicaprio the revenant" his movie "the revenant" got 12 oscar nominations this morning... including a best actor nod. dicaprio has yet to win an oscar, despite four other nominations. mad max fury road is up for 10-oscars including best director, production design, and best picture. speaking of best picture, the nominees in that category also include the big short, bridge of spies, brooklyn, the revenant, room, spotlight and the martian. the star of that movie, matt damon is up for best actor, his fourth nomination. aside from dicaprio, he's up against bryan cranston, michael fassbender and eddie redmayne in that category. the film "carol" got nominations for both best actress... cate blanchett... and best supporting actress rooney mara. jennifer lawrence is up
